Description
This Signed Florenza Work of Art is a Rare Collectible from 1960s-created with real untested Gold,
Swarovski Crystals ( Clear on tail and neck collar with a Ruby Austrian crystal eye )
The Clear Colored Crystals on tail end picked up a blue color due to my phone case.
The Turquoise colored round stones are not for my untrained and inexperienced judgement as to whether they are faux, real or specially made for the Florenza company. This beautiful collectible has a round red stone in mouth and blue stone on top of head. This Letter Holder
Measures aprox 3"1/2 H, 2"1/2 W, 2" Base
This item is easily seen when researching the Florenza history but I did not find time to fully research just him in particular. I have based all my descriptive information based on Florenza's online information. I
have owned this piece for quite a few years without knowing anything about him except that he is absolutely exquisitely beautiful, well made and tastefully designed which is why in my opinion he appears to say "I'd Bite the Apple for You Any Day!" I do not know which story the designer based this creation on.
I have included the following interesting read in regards to the history, success and imagination of this
Fabulous Florenza Vintage Collectible Letter Holder's Designer and his
decorations of stunning beauty. (created by the genius of Dan Kasoff.) He founded the company --Dan Kasoff Inc. in the early 40s in New York. In 1945, he launched branded jewelry, and named it after his mother – Florenza. Mostly made in Victorian style, magnificent Florenza jewels dazzle and have a truly mystical beauty. Each piece of Florenza is always an absolutely rare collectible. Florenza always used only the finest stones from Germany, Austria and the East, with many stones which have been made specially for the brand. In all jewelry was used only a 24kt gold or gold alloys patented by them, bearing the sonorous name – “Florenza Gold”, “French Gold” and “French Rose”.
In addition, Florenza had exclusive contracts with such brands as Revlon and Estee Lauder to produce containers for solid lipsticks and perfume. Florenza also had among its clients and partner companies Coro, Weiss, Hattie Carnegie, Capri and Kramer, developing the design and manufacture a range of jewelry for these brands. After the death of Dan Kasoff the business was led by his son – Larry Kasoff. Alas, after an absurd car accident that occurred to him in 1981, the famous jewelry brand has closed its history, remaining Fabulous Florenza forever.
Unforgettable Florenza with secrets, reminds of extraordinary medieval decorations such as the splendor and mystery of this beautiful work of art here for sale... a touch to the story …. Medieval Europe, famous for sly intrigues of royal courts. Oddly enough, but the special role played decorations, that even made history.
