    1:3 Scale Satellite Resin Model Kit
    Description:
    Limited Edition model of USSR Sputnik satellite, the first man-made object to orbit the earth. Bought this on eBay about 15 years ago from a home-based model maker, but have no information about it. I believe it’s painted resin. Only five pieces to satellite – the sphere and 4 arms. Comes with wood base and wire rod for display. Would display better hung from (tall) ceiling, which I always intended to do but never got around to it.
    Condition:
    Bought new, only opened to photograph, sold as is.
    Size:
    No listed scale, but roughly 1:3. Actual Sputnik was about 23” in diameter, this measures 8” diameter, arms about 19” long. Padded box measures 18” x 18” x 13”.
